Benjamin and Peter Morrell each got 10 straight As at GCSE

Identical twins at a school in South Oxfordshire have been celebrating identical GCSE results, with 18 A* and two As between them.

Benjamin and Peter Morrell, 16, from Surbiton, Surrey, each achieved the same grades for the same 10 subjects at The Oratory School, Woodcote.

The top marks include A* for music, which they sat a year early.

The twins, both music scholars, will stay at The Oratory School to study for their A levels.

Top grades

Their results come a week after another pair of twins at The Oratory School gathered top grades for their A levels.

Between them, Garbhan and Conor O'Brien, 18, from Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, achieved five As and one B grade.

Garbhan is going to Nottingham University to read industrial economics and Conor will read history at Cardiff University.

Oratory headmaster Clive Dytor said: "It is remarkable that, not only did the Morrell twins receive the same results for the same exams, but they also each achieved straight As across their 10 subjects."

The school is the UK's only remaining Catholic all boys' boarding and day school for boys aged 11 to 18.

This year it celebrates the 150th anniversary since it was founded by John Henry, Cardinal Newman.
