Ashlee Holloway, a devoted mother to her four young children, had always wanted to be a mum. Today the 24-year-old was buriedin a single coffin with her four children Brodi, two-and-a-half years, Thomas, 18 months, and infant twins Cooper and Mackenzie.

They died in a house fire in Victoria's southwest on August 16.

The memorial service for them was held in a community hall in the town of Drysdale, near Geelong, with hundreds of people filling a nearby basketball court to pay their respects.

Aaron Holloway, 31, Ashlee's husband and father of her four children, walked into the service wearing dark sunglasses and flanked by family.

Ashlee's uncle Wayne said in the eulogy that Ash, as she was known, was "not only beautiful but a beauty".

He said she loved the social networking site Facebook. Her last posting was appropriate, he said.

"My life is now complete," it said.

Ashlee's father Jim Faulkner said his daughter had wanted to be a mother since she was a little girl.

He said she, Aaron and the children had given the family so much.

Ashlee's sister Kandis said she was by her sister's side at the birth of Thomas.

A tearful Kandis said Ashlee promised to be by her side when Kandis had children.

"I have no doubt that my sister had everything in life she ever wanted," Kandis told mourners.

"She will live on in all our hearts, so for me this is not goodbye."

Ashlee's best friend Kate Woolfe said she had asked Ashlee to be her maid of honour at her upcoming wedding.

She said the offer still stood.

"I can promise you Ash you still will be my maid of honour."

A solo guitarist played before and after the ceremony.

The ceremony was followed by a private burial at the Drysdale cemetery.
