The twins who lost two years of togetherness: Girl meets sister for first time a

Her parents Robert Rae and Emma Ludbrook made the daily 140 mile-round-trip from their home in Staffordshire to Sheffield Children's Hospital, leaving Sophie with her grandparents.

The twins were finally reunited in March this year and recently celebrated their birthday together for the first time.

Miss Ludbrook, 37, said: 'I think Sophie found it a little strange at first as she was used to being on her own and had never properly met Elizabeth, but now they get on famously.'
 

Mr Rae, a 53-year-old company director, and Miss Ludbrook already had four-year-old Thomas when they found out they were expecting twins.
