NEW YORK -- It has not been a good week for twins Mike and Bob Bryan.

Not only were the defending U.S. Open doubles champions eliminated in the semifinals by Lukas Dlouhy and Leander Paes on Wednesday, but four songs they recorded for their new CD, Let It Rip, were supposed to be available on iTunes on Tuesday, and there was a problem.

``It's really disappointing because we told all our fans the songs would be available on Tuesday, and put it on Twitter, and everyone was like, `Where are they?' '' Mike Bryan said.

``We rushed the album so it would be released during the Open, so we'd have a chance to sell it. We have a website, a publicist, and money flying out the door. We've spent more than [$50,000]. But if we don't sell it here, it won't be easy. We won't be getting much pub now that we lost.''

The twins recorded most of the songs in Los Angeles over the summer, and did a bonus track with Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray in a hotel room in Cincinnati during a tournament there in August. The song is about signing autographs, and goes something like this:

``See the little girl with the Sharpie in her hand/She's walking my way ignoring her man/Waited two hours just to see me move/Gimme that pen and feel the groove.''

The Bryans' tunes were played Wednesday at Arthur Ashe Stadium during their match, which they lost 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6).

Mike, the drummer, joked that it was a bit distracting: ``I found myself thinking, `Aw, I should have done a better fill right there,' instead of focusing on the match.''

In women's doubles, Serena and Venus Williams advanced to the semifinals with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Chinese team Zi Yan and Jie Zheng.
