Changing room chat: Twins give ref Foy double vision

MANCHESTER United were complaining about referees again yesterday but surely even Sir Alex Ferguson must have a little sympathy for Chris Foy after the official appeared to get Fabio da Silva and Rafael da Silva mixed up in Tuesday night's Carling Cup match. They are identical twins after all.

United completed the signing of Brazilian brothers Fabio and Rafael in July 2008 when they turned 18. Both played at Oakwell earlier this week as United eased to a 2-0 win against Barnsley.

Fabio was playing at left back and Rafael at right back and, when they both went in to tackle Jamal Campbell-Ryce in the second half of the cup tie, referee Foy booked Fabio.

But United yesterday submitted a claim of mistaken identity to the FA, insisting that it should have been Rafael who received the yellow card. The submission will be heard on Tuesday by a regulatory commission.
