Irish X Factor twins John and Edward steal the show with Ghostbusters theme

Who ya gonna call? John and Edward! The off-tune Dublin twins single-handedly saved The X Factor on Saturday night with a show-stopping production of Ghostbusters.

Simon says he'll leave the country if they win, but in the words of their mentor Louis Walsh: "Don't forget to send us a postcard, Simon!"

What a performance, boys �C because with a full-size Ghostbusters van, Michael Jackson-style dance routine and on-stage zombies, their vocal ability - or lack of it - wasn't really an issue.

In a week of pantomime judge feuds, contestants having hissy fits backstage and yet more tears, it's clear The X Factor is no longer about singing - if it were, surely Rachel (remember her?) would still be in the show.

Say what you like about John and Edward, but they are the only contestants this series who haven't bored us to tears with sad tales about dying relatives, faux weeping and constant harping about "my X Factor journey".

The more cynical among us might question their position in the running order on last night's show - the acts singing near the end always do better and keeping 'Jedward' until the end of the show means guaranteed high ratings - but in this case it was definitely a case of saving the best till last.
