Twins missing at sea

KUALA TERENGGANU: A pair of twins went missing after being swept out to sea by strong waves while bathing with two friends at the Teluk Lipat beach, Dungun, yesterday.
A search and rescue operation has been mounted for Ahmad Amirul Hafiz Jaafar and Ahmad Amirul Haikal, both 9, said Dungun police chief Superintendent Dah-lan Mohd Noor.

Noor said the brothers, from Jalan Pantai Sura, Dungun, arrived at the beach with their friends, Sharifah Amira Adila Syed Mohd Azmi, 10, and Syed Izat Hakimi Syed Mohd Azmi, 9, at 4.30pm and were reported missing half an hour later.

All four were from SK Sura Dungun. -- Bernama
