Tyler Howard Winklevoss (born August 21, 1981) is an American rower and entrepreneur. He competed in the men's pair sweep rowing event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics with his rowing partner Cameron Winklevoss, his identical twin brother. Tyler is right-handed and Cameron is left-handed. Their current coach is Mike Teti.

In September 2009 Tyler and Cameron started an MBA course at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. Both brothers are members of Christ Church, one of the biggest colleges in the University. Tyler and Cameron were selected to row for the University in the Head of The River Fours event as part of Elite Crew 1, although the event was cancelled due to bad weather. They are expected to be selected for the Boat Race in March.

Together with Cameron and Harvard classmate and rowing team member Divya Narendra, they own the social networking website ConnectU, known as HarvardConnection prior to September 2004. Following the name change, they sued Facebook, alleging founder Mark Zuckerberg broke an oral contract for them to build the Facebook site, copied their idea, and illegally used source code intended for the website after they asked him to do programming for them. The parties reached a confidential settlement agreement in February 2008. (Wikipedia)

In 2009, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss have had a busy year. After settling a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg over accusations that he stole their idea for the social-networking site, the identical twins have been pursuing MBAs at Oxford and spots on the US National Crew Team. Their battle with Zuckerberg will also soon be brought to the screen in "The Social Network," David Fincher's adaptation of Ben Mezrich's "The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal." ("West Wing" creator Aaron Sorkin wrote the screenplay.) Asked how he felt about the casting of "Gossip Girl" guest star Armie Hammer at the Guest of a Guest holiday party, Cameron joked, "He's too good-looking to be playing Tyler." Justin Timberlake, Rashida Jones and Jesse Eisenberg will also star.(newyorkpost)
