SEGUIN -- Cedar View Pharmacy customers may think they are seeing double.

Pharmacists and twin brothers Brian and Bruce Volpe are giving customers a double dose of kindness as they fill prescriptions in the locally owned pharmacy.

"To the customers and the people on the phone we sound alike," Brian said. "When I answer the phone they think it's Bruce, but it's OK."

The men have worked for the same company before in different stores, but this is the first time they are working side by side.

"We both worked for H-E-B at the same time, but we couldn't work at the same store," Brian said.

Brian joined his brother Bruce at the pharmacy in the beginning of July and it was a big change from what he was used to.

"I was looking for a job around here and it just worked out," Brian said. "I used to work for UTMB for a long time which is a UT Medical Branch Corporation and I like this more because there is not all of this policy and procedure to follow. It's not like a closed shop pharmacy where you are just filling out prescriptions and not seeing the public at all. You get to build relationships with the doctors and the staff within the building, as well as the customers."

Working together has been fun, the brothers said, but can have it's minor irritations, too.

"We get on each other's nerves, sometimes, but it has worked pretty well for us." Bruce said.

Brian agreed that he and his brother have had plenty of time to get used to each other.

"We grew up together and we know how to cooperate with each other," Brian added.
