New Year's first babies are twins

Janna Johnson (centre) was a bit surprised but pleased when her twin girls were born on New Year's Day (they were about three weeks early, she said). Annabelle (left) and Skyla (right) were born at 5:02 p.m. and 5:03 p.m. respectively. Annabelle weighed exactly seven pounds, and Skyla weighed six pounds, 12 ounces. Johnson was joined in the hospital by her oldest son River Berry (left), her husband Brent, her youngest son Elliott and her middle son Quinton.             Grant Warkentin/The Mirror
