Singing dad takes twins to police

It may take a village to raise a child, but it apparently takes a police station to teach auto etiquette to twins.

A harassed but quick-witted dad brought his two 9-year-old girls into the Buffalo Grove police station Jan. 5 and informed an officer there that they had pulled his hair and punched his neck from the back seat while he was driving.

The girls told the officer they "shoved" their father because he had been singing a song, and they wanted him to stop.

The father "wanted his daughters to understand the danger of distracting a driver," police reported.

A police officer provided the lesson and reported that the girls "understood," and "the complainant was satisfied with the results."
