LEBANON - Perhaps a double date at the Sweet Home High School prom is in the future for two sets of twins born this week at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

Sydney Lora and Ellie Kay Dominy were born at 8:32 and 8:33 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, and Caleb Liam Wyatt and Conner Lee Robert Thomas were born at 10:04 and 10:14 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19.

All are future Sweet Home High School Huskies.

Sydney weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 inches long. Ellie weighed 5 pounds, 4? ounces and was also 19 inches long.

The Dominy girls are fraternal twins, which means they may or may not look alike. They are the daughters of Cliff and Katie Jewell Dominy, 1997 and 1998 Sweet Home High School graduates. Cliff is employed at Les Schwab and Katie works at Sweet Home Family Practice.

The twins join a brother, Christian, 3.

Paternal grandparents are George and Suzanne Dominy, and maternal grandparents are Sandie and Darryl Brown, all of Sweet Home.

Katie said she had known she was going to have twins since she was seven weeks pregnant.

"It's going to take a lot of work, but it's very exciting," she said.

The Dominys enjoy camping, spending time with family and church activities.

"God blessed us with an extra little bundle," Cliff said.

The dark-haired Thomas twins tried to arrive a few weeks early, their grandmother, Leslie Lewis, said. They are identical twins.

Their parents are Catherine Thomas, a 2007 Sweet Home High School graduate, and P.J. Handy III.

Caleb weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19? inches long. His brother was slightly larger, at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 20 inches long.

They join brothers Brendan, 3, and Aiden, 1.

Their mother is a homemaker and their father works at Ti Squared Technologies Inc. in Sweet Home.

"I'm excited," Catherine said. "I knew I was going to have twins."

"She put the ultrasound in front of me and there were two little dots," her mother said.

The family enjoys traveling to the Oregon coast.
