J-Lo's twins love playing with her make-up

Singer-and-actress Jennifer Lopez has revealed her 23-month-old babies Max and Emme - who she has with her husband Marc Anthony - love "painting themselves" in her cosmetics when she's getting ready for a night out.

She said: "Oh, my God, does she play with the makeup. Both of them do. Max too. They like to paint themselves and you."

The 40-year-old star also praised her friend-and-make-up artist Scott Barnes and admitted he is an integral part of her life.

She said: "That's Uncle Scott. It's just like when you go to an office and you have all the same people every day. The hair, the makeup, stylist, the manager. They become like your family. My manager is the godfather to my children."

Scott - author of the new beauty book 'About Face' - admits his 'niece' Emme can appreciate a beautiful outfit, just like her glamorous mother.

He laughed to People magazine: "Emme's just like Jennifer, she's really refined and she loves jewellery. She has a little bracelet and she always turns it and looks at it. Max is all boy. And she's such a girl. She's says, 'Look at my shoes!' She shows you her shoes. He wants to play, he wants to rough house and she's like, Let me sit here and look at my dress. And I say, 'Your dress is beautiful!' And she says, 'Beautiful.' "
