LUCKILY for their teachers, twins Liam and Sean Meiklejohn and William and Darcy Davy-Faggotter aren't identical. Both sets of brothers are preparing to start pivotal years in the education, with 16-year-olds Liam and Sean entering Year 12 and four-year-olds William and Darcy starting prep, both at West Moreton Anglican College. With their new bags already packed and ready to go for tomorrow, William and Darcy will be among 46 eager young students taking their first tentative steps in their schooling life. Both boys already had grand plans for when they grew up with Darcy planning on being "in the army like daddy" and William a police officer. Mother Leigh Davy said the boys were each other's best friends. "They're very close," Ms Davy said. "They miss each other when they are separated, but they are each their own person." Twins Liam and Sean may not have shared a classroom, with their parents asking for each "to have some space", but their schooling lives have still been closely entwined. "We have sort of had the same friends and we have got to be more involved in each other's lives," Sean said. "We have helped each other with school and we have been in the same sporting teams, like soccer, rugby and cricket." Liam said the brothers had never really competed against each other, both having their own hobbies as well as common interests. (Edit:Ruby) |
