Pretty Military Twin Mothers

The military parade at the 60th anniversary celebration of New China has amazed the world. The parade has finished months ago, but it's still encouraging to think of it. The people in the parade impressed us deeply.

In the parade of 1999, what impressed people most were the twin sisters Zhang Weiwei and Zhang Lili. As group leaders of female soldiers, they marched through the Tian'anmen square, and impressed people. In the CCTV spring festival gala in 2000, they both went on stage and performed the singing with dancing Military Sisters, which became the most popular program of that gala and got passed down for a long time.　
   
Ten years have passed, and the military sisters have gone out of sight. They are living a peaceful and busy live now.

Peaceful life, going to work by bike.

Zhang Lili works in the medical library of the PLA in Haidian district, Beijing. It is a library open to the society, and there are many people interested in medicine reading here everyday. Most of them don't know this woman, one of the military soldiers in the 1999 military parade.
　
With uniform and curly hair, Zhang Lili looks maturer and prettier than the one on TV ten years ago. Different from the solemnness, she always has smiles on the face now.

It is her biggest regret not to have kept military diary.

Zhang Weiwei works in the PLA hospital, also called No. 301 hospital. It is the comprehensive hospital with the largest scale all over the army. She looks very similar with Zhang Lili, except for her short hair, and solemn face.

Newly entering the parade group, Zhang Lili kept writing training diary everyday and wrote down the training and thoughts. But then the training got intense and she didn't even have the strength to go on bed after the training, so she didn't keep the diary any more. It became a regret for her.

What impressed the twins most was the day for the parade. When the inspection fleet arrived at the place of 45 degrees in front of their rank, Zhang Weiwei and Zhang Lili shouted together,"Rank 12, salute." They have had the rehearsal for numerous times, and have got tacit understanding. When the march started, the 17 walking groups and 25 cars went through the Tian'anmen square gradually. The time came for their group. Walking in front and seeing the Tian'anmen nearer and nearer, they became filled with pride and sense of responsibility. Nearer, nearer, ... Passing the salute line, the shouted clearly, "Eyes right." On behalf of all female soldiers, the group marched through the square and reported to people all over the country. At present, they have become mothers and have got major title. They live very happy lives now.
