THERE will be four helpings of double trouble at a Sunbury school this year, with the arrival of a record number of twins. Twins Amy and Emma Clendenning, Jaide and Skye Hubczak, Nicholas and Rory Allan and Logan and Mitchell Johnson started at Killara Primary School today. And it will be a few sad mums at the gates waving them off, with all the twin's mums first-time school parents. Nicholas and Rory's mum Natalie said she thought the first day of school would be great. "They are so ready for it, going from being babies to little boys," she said. "They're really looking forward to it. "They've really wanted to wear their school uniforms for the past six weeks." Logan and Mitchell's mum Karen said shopping for the identical twins had been interesting, buying two of everything, only the boys' shoes are slightly different. "I think they will be some mixed emotions," she said. "It's sad for me to think they've finished that pre-school era but for them, they will probably be better than their mother, I think they will be fine. They're really excited." Amy and Emma's mother Jane said it might be harder at the school gates for her. "They're very excited about going to school and making new friends but they're a little bit shy and it is very daunting. I think there will be tears." (Edit:Ruby) |
