35-year-old Yan Haitao comes from Jining district, Wulanchabu city in Inner Mongolia. With the junior college degree, he was attracted by the world outside and went to Beijing alone for a clerk job after resigning from his salesman job in 1996.

He asked the twins to show their arms and announced to the crowd, "Attention, Baobao has a black mole on the right arm, and Beibei doesn’t. Please guess who is Baobao and who is Beibei. The first five persons who get the right answer can eat in the restaurant with 1000 Yuan free, and others can have a discount of 20% off."

A few minutes later, Baobao appeared on the stage together with different another dress. Since they look similar appearance, similar dresses, and similar makeup, they look exactly the same. This aroused people’s interest. Some people guessed, and Yan Haitao pulled up the sleeves for proving on the spot. Then the twins change dresses for more guessing. After several times, there came five "winners" finally!

Several days later, the restaurant became extremely popular with crowds, with numerous clients coming every day during the golden week. Having got full success in the first try, Yan Haitao got greatly pleased. He got a new idea that if he gets more twins for different activities, he may earn more wealth then…

The first broker for Chinese twin culture

In July 2004, Yan Haitao quit from his previous job and established the "twin culture broker studio". Studio established, he was faced with two problems. Firstly, the show like dancing and guessing was too monotonous for the demand. Secondly, he needs more twins who are not easy to find.

The first problem got resolved soon. Yan Haitao took Baobao dna Beibei to learn other skills like painting, artistic gymnastics, etc.

The next step was to find more twins. From September 2004, Yan Haitao searched through television and newspapers, but couldn’t find twins willing to be professional performers. He found a dozen pairs of twins in Beijing though. He kept their contact methods.

He decided to take a suitable pair to Beijing. Before long, Yan Haitao noticed a pair of twin brothers Lv Hao and Lv Hu born in rural Mojiang. Knowing that Yan Haitao could take them to Beijing, the 20-year-old brothers got pleased and agreed.

In 2005, Yan Haitao formally registered Beijing twin culture etiquette planning Co., LTD. In early September, he got the first business. A Mr. Tan called and hoped Yan Haitao to plan for his wedding.

With elaborate preparation, the wedding was held in a star hotel near Xiangshan Park in Beijing at 8 o’clock pm on October 1st as scheduled. Wearing glasses and suits, Lv Hao stepped to the stage and said: "Ladies and gentlemen, the wedding for Ms. Wei and Mr. Tan now formally starts!" Finishing the word, Lv Hao turned into the backstage and disappeared. While everyone was wondering, Lv Hu suddenly appeared at the entrance singing a song. The guests turned back, only to find a similar person came in. They all got curious and awaited the next step. 

The "intruder" Lv Hu walked to the stage with the song, while Lv Hao suddenly appeared from the back. The guests finally understood and smiled with satisfaction. The twins added boundless surprise to the wedding of Mr. Tan and Ms. Wei. Yan Haitao’s company got a free advertisement too.

In 2007, Yan Haitao’s business had been very hot. At the end of August 2007, he opened another twin culture etiquette planning company in Huhehot, and made it the first “twin star factory” in the north. He also established a "twin star base". There were a dozen pairs of professional twins, and hundreds of pairs of amateur twin actors in the company, including a pair of Russian twins.

Yan Haitao created such a fortune way in the fierce competition city Beijing. However, he introduced that it’s not difficult to do twin business and it has good economic prospects.
