A twin was sent to the foundling homes, and Ms Meng has been looking for her twin brother or sister for the past 50 years. Yesterday, she called our newspaper for help, hoping the readers to look for twins similar to her.

Ms Meng is 56 years old and her adoptive father died years ago. The Mengs adopted her from the Huanyuanshan founding home (the present municipal Children Welfare Office) in Wuhan around 1955 and she was one year old. Ms Meng had heard that she had been adopted since childhood but she didn't care since her adoptive parents were kind to her. During the Cultural Revolution, her job was influenced because of his adoptive father's political background. Then after the spring festival in 1975, her adoptive father took her to the founding home, hoping to get a proof that she had been adopted. According to the files, her original name was Yu Xiaoshuang, born in Sep. 2 1954, and she was the younger one of a pair of twins.

Due to the deep feelings with her adoptive parents, she didn't look for the other twin when they were alive. Ms Meng said yesterday that this is her childhood photo. She has a twin brother or sister, and she hopes to meet with him or her. (Tel: 13125008901)
