A Woman in Guangfeng Gave Birth to Conjoined Babies

Shangrao news correspondent Xia Hao reports: at 11 a.m. on the 12th, Mr Zhou who had been full of hope seemed at a loss the moment he saw his newly born twin daughters outside the operation room of the obstetric and gynecologic department in the people's hospital in Guangfeng county. The newly born twins turned out to be conjoined and in poor health. Yesterday afternoon, the family didn't pay for the incubator, and the babies died soon after they were taken out of the incubator.

At 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, reporters came to the hospital soon after getting this news. Mr Zhou and his mother were sitting scilently beside his wife's bed on the fifth floor of the inpatient department.
 
Zhou Xiaojun, father of the babies said that he was called in to the operation room when the babies were born, and doctors told him they needed operation in Shanghai and may not recover. His wife and he had been working hard and hardly had any savings. The operation would cost a lot, and still may not work, so the decided to give up the treatment after discussing with the family.
 
Mr Tang, doctor in charge of this operation told reporters that the babies didn't look good when they were taken out of the belly, and they couldn't cry out. The hospital took some measures and suggested the family to change for another hospital.
 
Babies died one day after born
 
Beside the sickbed lay two dead babies to be dealt by the hospital.
 
Zhou Xiaojun told a reporter that the twins were born at 11 a.m. on the 12th. Besides the problem of conjoining, one doesn't have anus, and the other even had guts out after born.
 
In the afternoon, reporters contacted an expert and knew that the babies were abnormal mainly because of chromosomal mutations. Contamination or undesirable drugs and supplements for babies during pregnancy have adverse effect to babies too.
 
According to Zhou Xiaojun, his wife had been bitten by a dog and then taken vaccine and lots of pills for cold. But all the b type ultrasonic were normal and they decided to have the babies, who finally came out to be abnormal conjoined.
