Before they were born, their parents had already decided on their names, Qianqian and Yuanyuan. But according to Taiwan customs, people name childrens without evil meanings. So the parents consulted a so-called fortune-teller master, who gave dozens of names without a single one suitable.
 
Still, they named according to the naming rules of that master and got the names Yuxi and Yuhan while Yu means pretty stones and Xihan together means rarity.
 
Sandy & Mandy come from Sunday and Monday in English, and they sound nice. So they became the names for the twins because of the melodic sound.
