Stewardess Sisters, Cabin Affinity

Gu Chilian and Gu Chiyi are a pair of twin sisters in "Lingyan Expo Crew". Their parents named them specially hope that the two sisters can be as beautiful as the pool ripples. The sisters have been attractive since childhood.

Like most twins, the older sister Gu Chilian is elegant and dignified, while the younger outgoing, and always act like the spokesman for both. Despite the difference in characters, they both have a dream to become air stewardess. "When we saw flight attendants in Hongqiao airport at childhood, we felt quite envious since they look so elegant and well-dressed." Gu Lianchi spoke of that moment with sparkling eyes.

Then both sisters applied for the Civil Aviation School and both became air stewardess after graduation in 2003. "Everything goes so smooth, and we feel as of born to be stewardess." Gu Chilian said with a smile, "For the same reason, we have both been selected as the Expo flight attendants this time."

A tacit understanding between twins became the best advantage of their work. In the same flight, they can figure out what the other wants from an eye contact without any gestures. "United, we conquer." the sisters both laughed.

What's more, passengers usually mix them up since they are twins. However, this helps to get them closer to passengers.  Gu Chiyi recalls, "Once my sister and I were both on the same flights. A passenger borrowed my sister's pen, but returned it to me. Upon hearing, I knew that he made a mistake." Then, together with other passengers, he broke the silence and talked happily with the twins. Some passengers even expressed to hope to see them again. "The identity of twins helps a lot."

Speaking of the advantage to work for the Expo, both popped the word "localization". We are native Shanghai people and we know Shanghai better than others, so we can introduce our native culture better. We can guide foreign tourists too."

To the sisters, to do their "stewardesses" best is the best service for the Expo. "After all it is our work, and we will try to do our best." In addition, the sisters are also taking the time to learn more for the Expo, "We are both studying for a bachelor's degree in the Department of Courtesy in Tongji University. We will use the acquired knowledge to serve for the World Expo better."
