70 Pairs of Twins Meet in Naning Compete for Similarity and Tacit Understanding

China news net reports in Nanning in October 1 (Lu Wang reports) On Oct. 1, the first day of the national holiday, more than 70 pairs of twins meet at the People’s Park in Nanning city in Guangxi province to compete for similarity and tacit understanding, adding gaiety to the national day.

At 9 a.m. in the entrance of the aquarium of People’s park, the site of the first Guangxi Nanning twins’ festival, there were twins with similar dresses, similar hair styles, aging from half a year old to 56 years old coming to the scene gradually. There were two sets of triplets too.

Most twins aging from half a year old to ten years old will compete for mutual similarity and tacit understanding by activities like catwalk and action guessing. There will be ten awards for the most similar twins and most tacit twins.

While exclaiming at so many twins, the audiences also compete to have photos taken with the twins. Some twins similar to stars like Li Yuchun, Zhou Xun, S the major and the minor are more popular. Citizen Wang Cui feels very envious for twins’ families and says, “If only I can deliver twins, and twins with one boy and one girl will be better. The parents will be happy with a boy and a girl. A family will be full of happiness with even triplets too.”

Twins Li Xinhua and Li Xinjin study in grade 2 in primary school, and reputes at reporters’ interview, “We don’t look alike.” Staring at each other for five seconds, they still can’t tell the difference though.

23-year-old twins Xie Shihua and Xie Shiwen tell reporters that they have been playing together since childhood. They both like football and basketball, and they have similar characters. But they used to hate having a similar brother and even fought for that. They didn’t study together in the same class at school. Reflecting on the anecdotes because of their similarity, Xie Shihua chuckled and said that he used to be punished to stand at school because of violation to disciplines. Then he told his brother to stand there for him because he wanted to go to the toilet. To Xie Shiwen’s surprise, his younger brother went home directly after toilet, and he had to tell the teacher, who felt it funny but annoying.

It is known that this activity was held by Qin Ning, leader of a twins’ group and People’s Park in Nanning. Qin Ning says that he has a pair of 4-year-old cute twins. Thinking of the common topics and interesting things of twins, he established a QQ group for twins for them to communicate. There have been more than one hundred families in this group so far.
