Initiative Proposal of the Drought Disaster Relief, Twins in Action

Dear twin fellows, Spring returns and things flourish. However, in this season which should have been full of spring vitality, the impending drought is threatening our lives by endangering the crops. In 2010, we have the worst drought of the past hundred years. Since last autumn, continuous sparse precipitation has caused severe drought, which is getting worse and worse in Yunnan. Like other places of the province, our twins' hometown Mojiang is suffering from worsening drought. According to the statistics on 21 April from the flood prevention and drought relief headquarters, all the 15 township county suffer from drought, which caused 169,000 people lack of drinking water, 78,000 people of them, together with 26,000 have to resort to water transported by people, horses, or vehicles. Most crops face the danger of yielding nothing. The direct economic loss amounts to 275,300,000 Yuan. At present, numerous farmers and agricultural technicians are fighting against drought in the forefront. Also, the party committees and governments at all levels spare no effort organizing for the participation of all parts related. Still, we have the problems such as facilities deficiency and fund shortage to solve. Under the same sky, upon the same land, we coexist. Here in Mojiang, the international twins' association takes the initiative of all twin fellows to inherit and develop the national tradition of 'when disaster struck, help came from all sides'and carry on activities of twins signing ceremony and donation for thousands of sets of twins at the county stadium at 9:30 on 1 May. My friends, as such a special group, let's hand out passionate aid to help the out in our special way.
