Oudin Twins Have No Plans to Replace Venus and Serena

While Melanie was earning passage into the third round of the U.S. Open, her fraternal twin sister Katherine was getting a hall pass.

Melanie Oudin, a 17-year-old from Marietta, Ga., emerges as a possible answer to questions about where tennis is headed after the Williams sisters.

"My teachers let me out of class and I had my entire class in the library watching on a big screen," said Katherine, a high school senior at the Walker School. "Tennis is a really big deal at my school."

And since her breakout performance at Wimbledon this summer, and her upset of No. 4 seed Elena Dementieva earlier this week, Melanie is a really big deal in Marietta too.
