Among the home's new residents are 10-year-old twins Mohd Khairul Akbar Mat Ripin and Mohd Khairul Aktar.

They had been at the home for slightly more than a week and seemed shy.

Asked what was their favourite food, both said "fried chicken."

Opening up a little, Mohd Khairul Aktar added: "I also like lemang with rendang ayam, something I look forward to during Hari Raya.

"Another thing is that I can collect a lot of duit raya when I go visiting."

The home's management committee member Mohd Nazri Ibrahim said it was limiting the number of events this year to ensure the children had time to do their school homework and revision.

"Last year, they went to a lot of these gatherings and returned late at night, leaving little time for school work.
