There was no forced entry into the house except for a small hole in the roof. Also, there were no visible injuries on the bodies," he said here yesterday. Supt Zazali said Meenah and Sharvin could have been dead for the past three days based on the condition of their bodies. He said both the victims were fully clothed and their home was not ransacked. Police, he said, was investigating the case as murder. Rajoo said he had been trying to contact his wife since Tuesday but she had not answered his calls. "I've been worrying because my wife would always take my calls or call me back," he said. Rajoo said his family had been renting the house for the past 12 years and they did not have enemies. He said Meenah, who worked in a bottle-making factory just a few hundred metres from their home, always kept to herself. He said that apart from a VCD player in the hall, he could not tell if anything else was missing. Rajoo said his house was broken into two years ago. "But the intruders only took RM250,"he said. Their neighbour A. Gunasingam, 52, said he suspected something amiss when he did not see Meenah or Sharvin since Tuesday. "My wife and I were surprised as she would normally come out and talk to us. In fact, we noticed a foul smell on Thursday but even then, it did not occur to us that the mother and son may have been harmed. They were very nice people," he said. Another neighbour described Meenah as a hardworking person who was well-liked. "She used to walk to her workplace and never talked much," she said. Senawang assemblyman P. Gunasekaren said he gave the family RM300 when they suffered some losses in a fire about two years ago. (Edit:Ruby) |
