Beijing Students Donating for Wenchuan Twins Orphans to Continue Study

China Daily network reports: yesterday morning, the "love and responsibility" education activities of the key school No 7 middle school of Chengdu was held as scheduled.
In the ceremony, senior middle school students Deng Tianda and his sister Zhao Tianyue from Beijing sponsored a pair of twin orphans whos parents died in May 12 Wenchuan earthquake with 33,300 Yuan each, and they expressed to sponsor the twin brothers till they graduate from university.
Deng Tianda's parents also donated each of the 100 earthquake-stricken students with 1,000 Yuan. They donated 100,000 Yuan for the teaching staff too.
In his speech, the 17-year-old Tianda said that with their deeds, they hope the earthquake-stricken children to know that people all over the country are still caring for them although two years has passed. They also hope the children with good living condition to get educated by sharing love, shouldering responsibility, feeling the happiness of giving, and realizing the value of life. Meanwhile, they also hope the whole society to concern for the disadvantaged groups and share love all over the society. |
